Balloon Fiesta!

Hundreds of Ballons ascended within minutes of each other - great photo oppotunitiy!

The first balloon to ascend after sunrise carried the Stars and Stripes and began the day's events with the traditional singing of the Star Spangled Banner.

This little girl's face tells the whole story - smothered in a kalideoscope of colors!

She was so excited! "Look Dad, a star!"

Balloon Fiesta

"Dawn Patrol" balloons ascended before sunrise. This meant arriving at the launch site around 5:30 a.m. A total of 11 balloons launched in the dark. One was "Victoria's Secret", but dissapointing to us men on the ground - no Angels were present!

This was one crazy balloon! It took about an hour to get air born and no less than 20 crew members!
